Hospital Room Options

Patient units are organized by medical specialties and are equipped for your medical care, comfort and safety. You may request your preference, although your first choice may not always be available. When assigning rooms, the hospital considers medical need as our first priority. There are 3 types of rooms available to patients: 

  • 1st class (1 bed)
  • 2nd class (2 beds)
  • 3rd class (3 beds)

It is a good idea to check with your insurance carrier, social security or employer regarding your coverage before coming to the hospital.

Guidelines on Bringing Personal belongings

Centre Hospitalier-Beit Chabab is not responsible for personal belongings although we encourage you to bring items with you that will increase your well-being and comfort.So, to safeguard your personal belongings, we ask you to keep the items you bring to a minimum. Please follow these guidelines during your stay:

  • Please leave valuables such as jewelry, cash or credit cards at home.
  • Personal items should be labeled with your name and room number that are kept in the hospital’s safe Meals
Centre Hospitalier- Beit Chabab serve meals according to every patient’s medical needs. For Special needs or concerns about meals contact the nutrition department between 8:00 am till 2:30 pm daily except Sunday.

Patient Safety

We define Patient safety as a discipline in the health care sector that applies safety science methods toward the goal of achieving a trustworthy system of health care delivery. Patient safety is also an attribute of health care systems; it minimizes the incidence and impact of, and maximizes recovery from, adverse events.

Patient safety is now recognized in many countries, with global awareness fostered by the World Health Organization’s World Alliance for Patient Safety. And yet there continue to be significant challenges to implementing patient safety policies and practices.

Since 2005, Beit Chabab Hospital Center was deeply involved in the process of preparation for the Lebanese Accreditation, follow up on all chapters and standards of the MOPH by adopting the Safety culture and by the implementation of The National Patient Safety Goals established by Joint Commission to help accredited organizations address specific areas of concern in regard to patient safety.

Beit Chabab Hospital Center has defined safety culture, surveyed staff including medical staff, developed performance improvement measures surrounding safety outcomes, and designed models and tools to guide the process. Yet, questions remain unanswered for both the hospital and its community: Does this hospital provide a safe environment for its patients? What will it take to assure the community that we are a safe hospital? How will we know that our safety improvements have made a difference?

The culture at Beit Chabab Hospital Center is a product of a long experience of cumulative efforts that we went through. A culture attributes that health care professionals strive through the implementation of strong safety management systems:

    • A culture that prioritizes safety above financial and operational goals.
    • A culture that encourages and rewards the identification, communication, and resolution of safety issues.
    • A culture that provides appropriate resources, structure, and accountability to maintain effective safety systems.

The sole purpose at Beit Chabab Hospital Center, is to improve patient safety by identifying the factors that commonly contribute to incidents and sharing solutions to prevent these incidents from occurring again.
